Pre Xmas I sat and thought about some options for a Xmas market, which I had always longed to see and decided pretty much in a couple of moments that I was going to head to Europe and spend a few days. Only problem was, where and how to get there!
Long story short I chose Bruges (Shortlist was Cologne and Brussels, along with a couple in France) and drove down with a ferry from Dover to Calais. The journey was incredibly easy with Bruge being just over an hour from Calais.
I felt I did Bruge justice in the 48hrs I was there and picked up lots of Earth caches, some virtuals but only one traditional, which was in the Market Sq. The market itself was a little underwhelming, however the city was beautiful, the chocolate shops plentiful and the beers exceptional!
