I love London and the caching is better than expected…
Asked to go on a training course for a week recently I was delighted to hear it was in London, just off the Strand, tucked neatly between the Indian and the Australian High Commission.
Given free rein on where my hotel could be positioned, I plumped for Fleet Street, mainly because it was in vicinity of a fish restaurant that I had been recommend but also because it would be a good base to reach some great Geocaches that I had read about.
From 16th Century Pub virtuals, numerous Earth caches to watching the tide times and timing my arrival on the bed of the Thames , the geocaches in London didn’t disappoint (and nor did the site seeing)
I was concerned about the amount of people that would be around me who might spot what I was up to but never found this to really be an issue in truth. Most people are too busy getting on with their own lives to worry about me.
Recommendations would include ‘16th Century Pub‘ and the church micro (!) just around the corner – ‘St Etheldreda’s‘ to the superb ‘Father Thames & The Mermaid‘
