A Majorcan Geocache
I find myself visiting a friend in his Majorcan hideaway for a few days soon and I have my eye on a rather unusual cache. ‘La Isla’ – http://coord.info/GC32M2F – is a cache located on a small Island, just off the coast of Majorca.

I have been to the Island before. I took a Pedalo from the beach and with my brothers and I we set sail. This was long before I began to geocache and alas I am travelling alone, so I do not know if I have it in my legs to pedal all the way there!
Illa de sa Porrassa (also called Isla de sa Porrasa, or ‘Black Lizard Island’) measures over 400 meters (1,300 ft) across at its widest point, and is a feature at the heart of Magaluf Bay. The island is uninhabited, but visited during the summer season by many holidaymakers, either swimming or on personal water craft from Magaluf beach. The island is known by British tourists as “Black Lizard Island” due to the very high black lizard population present on it.
I am planning this time on swimming to the Island, armed with an inflatable aid of some type. Wish me luck!
